Russia Ready for Dialogue, But Ukraine Declines: Peskov
Russia is open to dialogue regarding the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict, but Kyiv is refusing this opportunity. This statement was made by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov during the Russia-Africa summit in Saint Petersburg.
This was reported by Kommersant.
“The Russian side maintains its openness, which cannot be said about the Ukrainians. The Ukrainians hold their uncompromising position, especially now, when they are in quite a complicated situation,” Peskov told reporters.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin stated at the Saint Petersburg summit that Russia respects the peace initiatives of African countries regarding the Ukrainian issue.
