Video: Day 228 of the Blockade – Norashen Residents Hold On, Hope Lies in Local Produce

Norashen is one of the border villages in the Martuni region. For three years now, villagers have been hearing gunfire almost every day, and they are unable to cultivate a portion of their lands due to periodic shootings from the nearby positions aimed at workers in the fields. Following the war in 2020, the already increased challenges have now been compounded by a new issue—blockade, which has lasted for seven months.

Shops are empty. The residents manage to endure, relying solely on their own produce. The fate of Artsakh and its future concerns them more than their daily bread.
