Turkey's Foreign Ministry Strongly Condemns Israeli Authorities
This morning, Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, along with ultra-right "Jewish Power" party leader Itamar Ben Gvir and Minister of Development for the Galilee Yitzhak Wasserlauf, entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of Israeli police forces. According to ermenihaber.am, Ben Gvir stated, "This is the most important place for the Israeli people, where we must return and show our sovereignty." In this context, the Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a written statement strongly condemning the entrance of the Israeli National Security Minister into the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which Ankara has characterized as an attack. The statement demands that provocations that violate the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and disrupt its historical status based on international law should not be allowed. Therefore, Turkey calls on Israeli authorities to take serious measures to prevent further escalation of tensions.
