What Medicines Are Being Sent to Artsakh
400 tons of humanitarian cargo currently being sent to the border area of Kornidzor includes around 200 types of pharmaceuticals and other medical supplies. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Health, Armen Nazaryan, during a conversation with a reporter from "News."
“These are primarily essential medications—antihypertensive drugs, anticonvulsants, psychotropic medications, analgesics, and we also have anti-cancer medications. Given that the supply of medicines to Artsakh has been interrupted for a long time, we have a number of chronic patients. We are trying to ensure the priority medications for these chronic patients with this humanitarian assistance,” Nazaryan mentioned.
According to him, this will not solve the healthcare humanitarian crisis currently present in Artsakh. “We have dozens of patients in hospitals who urgently need to be transferred to specialized clinics in Yerevan. We have issues with emergency medical services, as ambulance vehicles have begun to stop operating due to a fuel shortage. In short, we have a total healthcare crisis that we must try to resolve at all costs, and this medication supply will somewhat alleviate the healthcare burden in Artsakh,” he stated.
