VIDEO: Forest Fires Erupt in Nine Mediterranean Countries, Dozens Dead

Forest fires continue to rage in various parts of the world. In nine countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, wildfires have broken out, with thousands of firefighters in Europe and North Africa working under extreme heat conditions to contain the flames caused by high temperatures, dry conditions, and strong winds. This is reported by The Guardian.

The high temperatures have triggered forest fires in countries on both sides of the Mediterranean Sea, with at least 34 people reported dead in Algeria. The TSA online news outlet, citing the National Meteorological Office of Algeria, reports that temperatures in some areas have reached 50 degrees Celsius.

According to the Ministry of Defense, among the deceased are 10 soldiers.
