Toyo Klaar Shares Red Cross Statement and Adds Remarks
The International Committee of the Red Cross must operate freely in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated by Toyo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, in his Twitter microblog.
In his post, he also shared the ICRC's statement urging Armenian and Azerbaijani political leaders to allow its humanitarian convoys to pass through the Lachin corridor or 'other routes' to assist civilians in need.
The organization added that the last time the ICRC was allowed to import medical supplies and essential goods was several weeks ago.
