One Week of Sit-In Protest Completes: Will Artsakh Resort to Declared Hard Measures?

According to the daily newspaper "Hraparak", simultaneous rallies will be held today at 20:00 in Stepanakert's Renaissance Square and Yerevan's Liberty Square. The day before, Artsakh's State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan called for unity and urged to "express the collective will of the Armenian people and our unwavering position regarding the issue of Artsakh: Artsakh and its people cannot be part of Azerbaijan." According to Nersisyan, everyone’s participation is crucial for Artsakh and its people.

It has been reported that, like the previous one, this time the rally in Stepanakert will be led by the State Minister. It is worth noting that among the active participants of the previous rally were representatives of NGOs and the political sector with anti-Russian views who marched towards the headquarters of Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh, demanding effective actions to open the Lachin corridor.

The organizers of the gathering in Armenia are the Artsakh information headquarters in the Republic of Armenia, led by Mikayel Virabyan.

It is noteworthy that a meeting of the foreign ministers of the two countries will also take place today in Moscow. Today marks the completion of the first week of President Araik Harutyunyan's sit-in protest, and essentially, Artsakh is transitioning to the hard measures he announced.

More in today’s edition of the newspaper.
