ICRC Calls for Access for Humanitarian Convoys through Lachin or Aghdam

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) urges political leaders in Azerbaijan and Armenia to allow its humanitarian convoys to assist the civilian population, as stated in the organization's press release.

“Despite persistent efforts, the ICRC is currently unable to deliver humanitarian assistance to the civilian population through the Lachin corridor or any other route, including Aghdam. The organization calls on the relevant decision-makers to permit the ICRC to resume its essential humanitarian operations in the area,” the statement reads.

The organization added that the last permission granted to the ICRC to import medical supplies and essential goods was several weeks ago.
