Fake News Spreading Cynically and Brazenly on Social Media, Says Artsakh State Minister
In recent days, the dissemination of disinformation regarding me and my family has gained significant momentum. Through fake accounts on social media, the most cynical and brazen false reports are being spread, claiming that my family is not in Artsakh or that we are living a luxurious and prosperous life, etc. This was stated by Artsakh's State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan on his Facebook page.
“All this is directed against my efforts and the struggle of the Artsakh people for the subjugation of the population and the concession of their right to self-determination, aiming to diminish our strength and create an atmosphere of distrust among the public. Although I strive to ignore such phenomena, I also realize that often failing to address them can lead to the perception of blatant false information as reality. In this regard, I declare that both before and after the blockade of Artsakh, my family has not been absent from Artsakh for a single day and still lives there, leading a very simple life, standing in line at stores just like everyone else and quietly, modestly listening to the unfounded rumors spread by some about the supposed luxuries enjoyed by state officials, including the family of the Artsakh state minister.
After stabilizing the situation in Artsakh, we must direct all the potential of the state system and the public towards the complete elimination and neutralization of such state-destroying phenomena,” he wrote.
