Belarusian Citizens Present Themselves as Girls and Steal Large Sums of Money in Yerevan

On July 20, a masked robbery occurred in Yerevan. That day, around 05:00, two masked individuals knocked on the door of an apartment in one of the buildings on Tumanyan Street, presenting themselves as girls, and then entered the apartment, attacking 20-year-old Russian citizen R. Kortes who was inside.

According to Shamshyan.com, R. Kortes informed the police and investigators on the scene that two masked individuals entered his home, assaulted him, then locked him in a room and stole his belongings, including an iPhone 14 Pro Max, 700,000 drams, 350 euros, and 400 US dollars.

It has been established that the robbery was perpetrated by citizens of the Republic of Belarus, 28-year-old Ilya L. and 22-year-old Nikita B.

A criminal case has been initiated by the investigative department of the Yerevan City Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Armenia regarding the incident.
