Blinken: 'The counteroffensive will not end in the next week or two.'

Ukraine will receive American F-16 fighter jets, but their delivery will take several months. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in an interview with CNN. He also announced that Ukraine has retaken half of the territory occupied by Russia.

According to him, Kyiv is facing a "very tough fight" to gain more territory. "The counteroffensive has just begun. It is difficult. It will not end in the next week or two. I think we are talking about several months," Blinken said.

It should be noted that at the G7 leaders' summit, which took place from May 19-21 in Hiroshima, Japan, an agreement was announced to supply fourth-generation F-16 fighter jets to Kyiv.
