Continuing the Black Sea Grain Deal Without Russians Is Impossible, Says Turkish Foreign Minister
The Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has stated that continuing the Black Sea grain deal is impossible without Russia's participation.
“Ukraine is trying to develop an alternative route, but we, as the Turkish side, are convinced that it is necessary to bring the Russians back to the negotiating table. Any other option would be dangerous, and we have also noted this while discussing the issue with the UN Secretary-General. It cannot be done without the Russians,” said Fidan.
He added that in his last phone conversation, his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov detailed Moscow's explanations regarding the decision not to extend the deal.
