Massachusetts Governor Urges Biden to Provide Humanitarian Aid to Artsakh Residents
Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey has written a letter to U.S. President Joe Biden regarding the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh due to the closure of the Lachin corridor. In the letter, she presented the dire circumstances faced by 120,000 Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh, recalling the new signs of genocide reported by reputable media outlets and international organizations.
Healey called for all possible means to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Artsakh and to continue promoting diplomatic efforts to lift the blockade. She emphasized that the Massachusetts community has long recognized the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh.
“On behalf of the Armenian-American community in Massachusetts and all citizens of the state, I urge the administration to use all available tools to ensure Artsakh’s security now and in the future and to promote peace in Armenia,” the letter stated.
