Demanding a New Tripartite Agreement Between Artsakh, Russia, and Azerbaijan: Ruben Vardanyan
The National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh today expressed a clear position regarding the current crisis situation, which is commendable. This was stated by former Prime Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, Ruben Vardanyan, on his Facebook page.
He also noted: “We expect that the targeted statements should be followed by the following steps:
- Demand from the Republic of Armenia's authorities the entire package of negotiations history between Armenia and Azerbaijan over the last five years,
- Exclude the signing of any documents on behalf of the Republic of Artsakh without the consent of the Artsakh people,
- Clarify the status of current relations with the Republic of Armenia,
- Specify the issues related to the negotiation format between the Republic of Artsakh and the Republic of Azerbaijan, including the third party, participants, agenda, and location,
- Officially declare support for the 'Hayakve' initiative by the authorities of Artsakh,
- Demand a new tripartite agreement to be signed between the Republic of Artsakh, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Azerbaijan,
- Activate the process of recognition of the Republic of Artsakh by other countries,
- Exclude actions that contribute to defeatist sentiments, while keeping the spirit of the People’s struggle alive.”
