Certain Roads in Armenia to Be Closed from Early Morning on July 24
Starting from 8:30 AM on July 24, certain roads in Yerevan and various regions of Armenia will be closed to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh. This was announced by participants of a protest action held near the statue of Miasnikyan in support of Artsakh.
“We will model a small Artsakh; certain roads will be closed. I cannot specify which roads they will be, but people will face inconveniences, for instance, delays in getting to work… and they will understand how something as fundamental as free movement, which is so desired, feels to those in Artsakh, especially when trying to provide bread for their children,” stated members of the organizing group of the protest.
It is worth noting that the protest, which began near the Miasnikyan statue, culminated in a march to Freedom Square, where the conclusion of the protest was announced. Participants in the support action for Artsakh also declared that the decentralized actions on July 24 will be summarized on the same day at 19:00 at Freedom Square.
