Pashinyan Does Not Forgive Me, Says Taguhi Tovmasyan

The parliamentary group of the 'Civil Contract' party has closed the Human Rights Protection Commission by terminating my powers. It is now hard to imagine that the commission will work with the same level of activity and effectiveness as it did during my presidency, because it is unlikely that Rustam Bakoyan, who has committed violence against women, will protect human rights. This was stated by MP Taguhi Tovmasyan during a broadcast on 24TV.

The deputy asserted that all the arguments presented by the Civil Contract party were mere lyrical embellishments; they simply wanted to rid themselves of her since she represented an alternative viewpoint in parliament and sent various letters to the international community, exposing the false democracy in Armenia. 'They wanted to halt my activities; this was a political decision. They have been gathering materials about me for a long time, trying to collect information or initiate criminal proceedings to force me to resign, but they could not find any evidence and made a nonsensical decision. Nikol Pashinyan does not forgive me for leaving their faction and stating that I will not walk alongside those who surrender the homeland. I conducted a protest from the podium of the National Assembly, looked into Nikol Pashinyan’s eyes, and told him that he has betrayed his principles and promises; his limit of deceit has been exhausted. My boldness has not been forgiven, but I do not hold a grudge,' emphasized Tovmasyan.

Referring to Nikol Pashinyan's statement that one of his faction's deputies secretly recorded him and presented it to Serzh Sargsyan, Tovmasyan noted that after that statement, she sent letters to all heads of investigative and law enforcement agencies demanding the initiation of a criminal case to find out who made that recording, but she did not receive any progress. 'Nikol Pashinyan is dishonest; he knows who made that secret recording; it was done during the meeting of the government with the leaders of the Artsakh government and parties. It is not my style to secretly record; they should initiate a criminal case and punish the person responsible—it concerns the security of the country, right? They can’t find out who it is,'” Tovmasyan concluded.
