Isolation Policy Not Yielding Results: Baku Responds to Mirzoyan's Accusations
Armenia does not realize that the 30-year isolation policy is yielding no benefits. This statement was made by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry in response to accusations directed at Azerbaijan by Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a press conference with Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Alexander Schallenberg.
“The fact that Armenia, which has not fulfilled its obligation for nearly three years to open uninterrupted transport routes from the eastern regions of Azerbaijan to Nakhchivan, is now delaying the opening of transport infrastructure under various pretexts shows that this country has not understood that its 30-year isolation policy is providing no benefits. If Armenia is interested in peace, stability, and security in the region, it must put an end to duplicity, false pretenses, and fulfill its international legal obligations to successfully conclude the peace process,” reads the statement from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
