VIDEO: Typhoon in China with Wind Speeds Reaching 38 m/s

A powerful typhoon named 'Talim' is raging along the coasts of Guangdong province in southern China. Transportation in the region has been suspended, flights have been canceled, and schools and public institutions have been closed, as reported by the Xinhua agency.

The primary impact of the natural disaster occurred over the city of Zhangjiang in Guangdong province last night. The maximum wind speed at the epicenter of the typhoon reached 38 m/s.

More than 36,000 fishermen have been evacuated from Hainan Province today, as forecasts indicate that the typhoon is approaching the area. The international airport in the provincial capital, Haikou, has also been closed.
