VIDEO: New Footage of Heavy Rainfall in Moscow

In some areas of Moscow, more than a quarter of the monthly rainfall has fallen in less than an hour, report the city's authorities.

The metro stations and roads have been flooded, and due to the bad weather, the "Moscow Sun" carousel has come to a halt, leaving people trapped inside.

According to forecasts from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, adverse weather conditions are expected to persist in the capital until 11 AM tomorrow.

Earlier, Moscow authorities had already warned cafe owners that it would be better to close summer balconies and reinforce them if possible.
