Peskov Talks About the Idea of Recognizing Ukraine as a Terrorist State

Russian President Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov was asked in a briefing about the Kremlin's stance on the idea of recognizing Ukraine as a terrorist state, particularly in light of recent events at the Crimea Bridge.

A reporter reminded him that at a legal forum in St. Petersburg, Sergey Stepashin, head of the Russian Lawyers Association (AJR), had made such a proposal to State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin.

"I am not aware that this idea has been further developed in parliament. I cannot comment on the position regarding this issue," Peskov stated.

He also mentioned that he is not obligated to evaluate this proposal and noted that it requires legal elaboration.
