No Agreement on Which Year’s Map Will Serve as the Basis for Border Demarcation, Says Mher Grigoryan

During the fourth meeting of the border demarcation commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan, no agreement was reached regarding which year’s map should serve as the basis for the border demarcation. This was reported by the office of Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan in response to a query from Factinfo.

Earlier, it was reported that the meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and Shahin Mustafayev of Armenia and Azerbaijan respectively, continued discussions on border demarcation issues, addressing various organizational and procedural matters.

Factinfo had submitted a written inquiry to the Deputy Prime Minister’s office, asking whether an agreement on the map had been achieved at the meeting. “No decision has been made regarding any map. An official statement on the discussed issues has been published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia,” noted the office.

The Deputy Prime Minister's office also mentioned that the location and date of the next meeting are not yet known.
