Germany's Foreign Minister Spends Nearly 9,000 Euros a Day on Stylist, Bild Reports

Germany's Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock's stylist services cost the federal budget nearly 9,000 euros per day, according to the German newspaper Bild.

As reported, in 2022, Baerbock became the most expensive minister for taxpayers, with associated costs amounting to 136,000 euros.

Bild claims that the "feminist foreign policy pioneer" has paid her makeup artist 8,925 euros per day based on the established rate.

According to Bild, in the first half of this year alone, the expenses for hairstylists, makeup artists, cosmetologists, and photographers in German federal ministries totaled about half a million euros.

Renowned German constitutional lawyer, Professor Christian Hillgruber, called the high expenses 'legally questionable' and 'politically ugly.'

Meanwhile, Rainer Holznagel, president of the Taxpayers Association, stated that it is difficult to convey to citizens why they should pay taxes for politicians' use of makeup and hairstyling services. He urged officials and politicians to pay for beauty out of their own pockets.
