The Main Actor in This Process is the Prime Minister of Armenia: Metakse Hakobyan
We need to acknowledge that Armenia, as a subject, no longer exists on international platforms; it is merely being used. The Prime Minister of Armenia is not at the negotiating table but rather on that table. This was stated by Metakse Hakobyan, a member of the Artsakh National Assembly's 'Justice' faction, in an interview with NEWS.am.
“He is used as an instrument, as a listener, but no longer regarded as a negotiating party. Decision-makers must make decisions, and he must execute them,” she said.
Hakobyan emphasized the necessity of changing the negotiator: “Armenia, which has endangered itself and put Artsakh up for sale, cannot change its strategy because he was appointed Prime Minister for that very reason. His masters, who no longer hide themselves, are the collective West, and they brought him in to resolve issues with Russia through this puppet. The main actor in this process is the Prime Minister of Armenia. Of course, if he were not in office, our positions would completely change, and even the application of the Madrid Principles would be executed. There simply shouldn’t be Nikol Pashinyan; the KP group should not exist. In his case, this is impossible,” the Artsakh deputy said.
Commenting on the Baku-Stepanakert dialogue, she stated, “We do not shy away from negotiations, but it must take place on an internationally guaranteed platform, where Artsakh is considered an equal party. However, Charles Michel clearly stated that we should go talk to them as representatives of an ethnic minority within Azerbaijan. This cannot be acceptable for us. The only solution is to rid ourselves of the treacherous authorities that have surrendered Artsakh and Armenia. When there are authorities serving the national interest in the Republic of Armenia, our positions at the negotiating table will quickly improve. There will be very serious changes in our positions,” she emphasized.
