Strike in Italy: 200 Flights Canceled at Rome Airport

Due to a strike by airport workers in Italy, hundreds of flights have been canceled today, affecting approximately 250,000 passengers. Participants of the protest are demanding improved working conditions.

At Rome's airport alone, around 200 flights have been canceled, while approximately 150 flights were called off in Milan. Airports in several other cities, including Turin and Palermo, have also refused to service aircraft.

Italy's Transport Minister Matteo Salvini has urged strikers to show "common sense" and not to harm millions of other workers and tourists.
