Israeli Foreign Minister Accuses Iran of Planning Attack on Embassy in Azerbaijan

According to the minister, Iran “funded and provided instructions to the terrorist cell that attempted the attack.” Cohen has called on the international community to unite “to confront Iran’s terrorist activities.”

It should be noted that on July 10, it became known that Azerbaijani security forces arrested a 23-year-old citizen of Afghanistan on suspicion of planning an attack on the embassy in Baku. He was arrested near the Hyatt Regency hotel and was interrogated by Azerbaijan’s security forces. Azerbaijan has reported that the young man arrived from “another country” to monitor “the embassy of a third country,” recruit a cell, and procure weapons and funding.
