VIDEO: If the Russians do not ensure our safety, we will take over the airport. Protest in Artsakh

Participants of the protest organized by the "Popular Movement for the Lifting of the Blockade" marched to the residence of the President of the Republic of Artsakh. They state that their only demand is to open the lifeline of the Lachin corridor.

Arthur Osipyan, the leader of the Revolutionary Opposition Party of Artsakh, noted in his speech, "We should become tens of thousands and go towards the bridge, and to get there, we need fuel and safety. We must demand both of these from the Russians. We should say, 'We want to go to Mets Shen with 10,000 people, and you are obliged to ensure our safety.' If the Russian fails to do that, what will we do? The answer is also there: we will enter the airport, drive the Turks out from there, and take the airport under our control, halting the Russian supply. If we have no supplies, then they have none either. There are only Turks at that airport, and they check the Russians. So, in our airport, Turks are checking the Russians, can’t we check the Russians?

Furthermore, our attitude towards the Russian peacekeepers should be adequate and correct, without unnecessary discussions."

Participants of the rally noted that many people from the regions want to join the movement, but they lack transport. They also emphasized that the Artsakh authorities should be demanded to provide buses so these people can come to Stepanakert and raise their voice in protest.

After that, the march headed towards the presidential residence. It was decided that this would suffice for today, and they will gather again in the same place tomorrow.
