VIDEO: A Volcano Erupts Near Iceland's Capital

A volcano has erupted in the southwest of Iceland. This was reported by Reuters this month.

It is noted that the eruption occurred on the Reykjanes Peninsula, near the capital Reykjavik, following a significant earthquake.

"This is a very small eruption," said Matthew Roberts from the IMO's Service and Research Department.

It is reported that the eruption poses no danger to residents in the area. Additionally, operations at the capital's Keflavik International Airport have not been disrupted, and flights have not been delayed.
