France to Supply Long-Range Missiles to Ukraine; Russia Calls it a 'Wrong' Decision

French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that Paris has decided to supply long-range missiles to Kyiv. This decision was made to support the offensive actions of the Ukrainian armed forces. He did not disclose the number of missiles being provided. This information comes from kommersant.ru.

AFP clarifies that the missiles in question are Scalp missiles.

"I have decided to increase the supply of weapons and equipment to enable Ukrainians to deliver long-range strikes, while maintaining our doctrine, which allows Ukraine to defend its territory," Macron stated upon his arrival at the NATO summit in Vilnius.

The Kremlin has deemed this French decision to supply missiles to the Ukrainian armed forces as wrong. "It is still necessary to clarify what destruction range this is about. This decision is incorrect and fraught with consequences for the Ukrainian side. The missiles will not affect the course of the special military operation but will only complicate the fate of the Kyiv regime," said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary for the President of the Russian Federation.
