NATO Will Freely Utilize the Airspace of the Baltic States

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization will be able to freely use the airspace of the Baltic states to conduct its military activities. This was announced on July 10 by the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense, as reported by Regnum.ru.

The defense ministers of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia intend to sign a joint declaration on this matter during the NATO summit, which opens on July 11 in Vilnius.

The declaration states that NATO allies are granted the ability to utilize the combined airspace of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia without restrictions for 'NATO deterrence, heightened vigilance, and extensive training activities.'
