VIDEO: Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense Confirms Crimea Bridge Explosion Was Their Doing
Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar has acknowledged that the explosion of the Crimea bridge was orchestrated by Ukraine. This was reported by the Telegram channel Readovka.
The Deputy Minister listed Kyiv's limited achievements 500 days into the conflict, admitting that the terrorist act on the Crimea bridge was carried out by Ukraine. In her Telegram channel, she wrote: “We delivered the first blow to the Crimea bridge to disrupt the logistics of the Russians.”
In fact, this marks Kyiv's official admission of carrying out the terrorist act on the bridge. Earlier, Ukrainian officials only hinted at their involvement in the explosion without addressing it directly. For example, an advisor to the head of the presidential office, Podolyak, wrote on the day of the explosion: “Crimea, bridge, start. Everything illegal must be destroyed, what is stolen must be returned to Ukraine, and everything occupied by Russia must be eliminated.”
Moreover, the head of Ukraine's Security Service, Vasily Malyuk, stated in a much later interview with Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Komarov that “this was a logistic route we were obligated to cut, and it was thus executed with certain means, accordingly.”
Despite this, President Zelensky has not officially accepted responsibility from Ukrainian special services for the terrorist act, which resulted in the deaths of four people.
