VIDEO: Anna Amroyan's Emotions During Armenia's Anthem as She Wins Gold Medal

At the ongoing European Weightlifting Championship for athletes under 15 in Chișinău (Moldova), Armenian representative Anna Amroyan (in the 76 kg weight category) secured first place, winning a gold medal. This was reported by the European Weightlifting Federation.

In shared footage, Anna Amroyan's emotions are visible, as this was the first time the Armenian national anthem played at an international competition for her.

It is worth noting that another Armenian representative, Alina Sukiasyan (71 kg), won a bronze medal.

Amroyan earned two small gold medals in the snatch (92 kg) and clean and jerk (117 kg) categories and was declared the strongest in her weight class based on the total lift.

In this category, Turkey's Burcu İldem Gerçekden placed second (total lift 206 kg), followed by Georgian Nana Khorava in third place (total lift 194 kg).

As a reminder, on July 6, another member of the Armenian team, Yughaber Amroyan (weight category 40 kg), won a bronze medal at the European Championship for athletes under 15 in Chișinău.
