The prime ministers visited the Central Stadium of Batumi, where they watched the UEFA U21 European Championship final match between England and Spain.
It is noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has been on a working visit to Georgia since July 7. His meeting with his Georgian counterpart, Iraki Garibashvili, took place in Batumi, Georgia. The two sides discussed relevant issues and prospects for Armenia-Georgia cooperation.
The leaders of the governments of Armenia and Georgia had previously met in Yerevan. A delegation led by Iraki Garibashvili visited Armenia on January 12 to participate in the 12th session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
In the final of the U21 European Championship, the teams of England and Spain faced off. The match ended with a minimal victory for the English team. The only goal of the match was scored by Jones in the 45+4 minute, making his team the European champion.
It should be mentioned that in the 8th minute of stoppage time, the referee awarded a penalty to the English side, but after Ruise’s shot, the goalkeeper made a remarkable save. This victory marked the third for the England U21 team in this tournament.
