Billboards Featuring Putin Holding the Quran Appear in Lebanon

Billboards featuring a picture of Russian President Vladimir Putin holding the Quran have emerged in several cities across Lebanon.

It is noteworthy that during his visit to Dagestan on June 28, Putin visited the Juma Mosque in Derbent, which is considered one of the oldest in the world, where he was gifted a Quran. During his visit to the mosque, he stated that disrespect towards the Quran in Russia is a crime, in contrast to some other countries.

In the past few days, these billboards have appeared in various cities in Lebanon, displaying an image of the Russian president with the Quran pressed against his chest. The billboards read: “Guardian and Protector of Religions.”
