VIDEO: Giant Spherical Screen Tested in Las Vegas
A massive spherical screen known as MSG Sphere has been tested in Las Vegas, United States, as reported by CNN.
The construction of the screen cost approximately $2.3 billion. It stands at 111.5 meters tall and 158 meters wide, making it the largest spherical structure in the world.
Notably, the screen is comprised of 1.2 million LEDs, each the size of a hockey puck. The trial launch of MSG Sphere coincided with Independence Day celebrations on Tuesday, July 4th. Its official opening is scheduled for September 29, 2023.
In addition to concerts, MSG Sphere will host film screenings, including the premiere of Darren Aronofsky's new film “Postcards from Earth.”
