Serzh Sargsyan Comments on Nikol Pashinyan's Statement
The third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, has addressed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement regarding his suspicions of an impending war, suggesting that this is the reason they left power.
“Did he only find out after coming to power? If he learned about it after, why do they reference my statements from 2016 and 2017? If they knew it was like this, why were they determined to come to power? Did I say, 'either I will be the Prime Minister, or Armenia should not have a Prime Minister'? All their statements fit within my previous remarks,” Sargsyan said.
He assured that internal processes are expected in Armenia: “Such processes cannot help but occur. And seriously responding to a person who publicly admits that military officials lied to him more than 10 times during the 44-day war is unthinkable. Can you imagine a person who can be deceived 10 times and does not feel it? What kind of management capability should such a person have, or what knowledge should such a person possess? Our entire tragedy lies there, nothing else,” Sargsyan emphasized.
