After Talks with Zelensky, Erdogan May Meet with Putin

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is likely to meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin after negotiations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, reports gazeta.ru referencing the Turkish A Haber television channel.

"It is probable that after talks with Zelensky, President Erdogan will meet face-to-face with Russia's leader Vladimir Putin. This meeting could take place either in Turkey or in Russia, but the likelihood is high," the television channel reports.

Erdogan will discuss the situation in Ukraine and the prospects of the grain deal with Zelensky in Istanbul on Friday. The deadline for this agreement expires on July 18. This visit will be Zelensky's first working trip to Turkey in the past two years, with the last one occurring in April 2021. In August 2022, Erdogan visited Lviv to meet with Zelensky.
