VIDEO: Protests in Tbilisi Demand Abolishment of Mandatory Military Service
A protest is taking place in the center of Tbilisi against mandatory conscription, reports Sputnik Georgia.
Demonstrators near the Parliament building are chanting slogans such as “Mandatory conscription is slavery; slavery is immoral.”
The opposition party “Girchi” and its supporters in Georgia are calling for the abolishment of compulsory military service and the rejection of the new defense code.
