«The Situation with Measles in the Region is Quite Tense»: Avanesyan
The Minister of Health, Anahit Avanesyan, has stated that the situation with measles in the region is quite tense, with some countries experiencing larger outbreaks.
According to her, approximately 13 cases of measles are recorded weekly. “Outbreaks are still ongoing, albeit on a smaller scale. Vaccination efforts are underway at a rapid pace, with large-scale vaccinations currently being conducted among healthcare workers, as they are the primary target group when patients with measles are admitted,” she said.
According to Avanesyan, imported cases are still continuing.
