OceanGate Suspends All Operations Following Titan Submersible Disaster
OceanGate Expeditions, the operator of the Titan submersible that tragically imploded in the Atlantic Ocean, has announced a halt to its submersible operations. According to Interfax, this information was published on the company's website.
"OceanGate has suspended all exploratory and commercial operations with its submersibles," reads the statement on the company's site.
On June 19, it was reported that the submersible, carrying five people, had gone missing during an expedition to the Titanic. On June 22, the U.S. Coast Guard announced that search teams had discovered debris from the submersible.
