A Lot of Blood Has Been Shed in the Last 30 Years, We Can't Forget Quickly: Hovik Aghazaryan
The people of Artsakh must determine how peacefully they can live united with Azerbaijan. The first correct answer to this question should come from the people and authorities of Artsakh. Personally, I will support their decision. This was stated by Hovik Aghazaryan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'Civil Contract' faction, during an appearance on 24news.am.
“I am skeptical; I am not optimistic like the U.S. ambassador. A lot of blood has been shed in the last 30 years; we cannot forget quickly; time is needed. Perhaps there is a formula regarding the Artsakh issue that ensures security, as long as it is acceptable to the people of Artsakh. I am with them; if our compatriots are against it, then I am not with them,” the MP added.
In response to former Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan's offer to negotiate on the Artsakh issue, only if Prime Minister Pashinyan remains silent, Hovik Aghazaryan replied: “Vardan Oskanyan's hair has always been messy; he wanted to leave the impression that he is very burdened, without time to comb his hair. He had the opportunity to solve the Artsakh issue. I do not have a high opinion of him; yes, his proposal should be rejected. When Ararat Mirzoyan became minister, he corrected the foreign policy stance, making our positions understandable to the international community,” Aghazaryan noted.
