Half of Russia Supported Wagner's Rebellion, Says Zelensky
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an exclusive interview with CNN that half of the Russian population supported Yevgeny Prigozhin during the rebellion, and that now Vladimir Putin will do everything to strengthen his power in the country.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, Zelensky mentioned that the Kremlin has analyzed the situation and noted that a significant portion of Russians have started to seriously doubt the adequacy of the government.
In the same interview, the Ukrainian leader addressed the situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and the shelling of Russia’s southwestern regions. He believes that Moscow is capable of engaging in reckless actions, including provocations at ZNPP, for the sake of a turning point in the war and to achieve its goals. He stated that the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has taken necessary measures in this case.
Zelensky also reminded that the Russian side is doing everything possible to suggest that the threat of diversion comes from Kyiv.
