Earthquake Recorded in Turkey's Kahramanmaraş
An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 occurred today in the city of Kahramanmaraş, Turkey. This information was reported by the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
According to the agency, the earthquake was registered at 08:55 local time in the Geksun district. The epicenter of the tremor was located at a depth of 6.97 km.
Recall that on February 6, powerful earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.7 and 7.6 struck the Kahramanmaraş province in southeastern Turkey, just 9 hours apart. The aftershocks were felt in 11 provinces of the country and neighboring states, including Syria. Turkish authorities have referred to those earthquakes as a "disaster of the century."
