VIDEO: At Least 10 Palestinians Killed in Israeli Operation on West Bank
On Monday, extensive clashes occurred between Palestinians and Israeli security forces in Jenin during an Israeli counter-terrorism operation on the western bank of the Jordan River, according to Israeli media reports.
According to The Jerusalem Post, at least 10 Palestinians were killed during the operation that began late Monday night, and at least 20 others have been arrested. The Israeli army is continuing its operations not only in Jenin but also in other areas of the West Bank.
During the operation, Israeli military officials discovered a laboratory for producing explosive devices and a storage facility containing hundreds of ready-to-use devices, as well as two caches of homemade bombs.
In addition, clashes erupted between residents of Jewish settlements in the West Bank and Palestinians, with both sides throwing stones at each other.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad militant movement labeled the Israeli actions as a "massacre" and pledged to respond. Meanwhile, the HAMAS movement, which controls the Gaza Strip, called on Palestinian youths to join those involved in the clashes with Israelis.
