The Fate of Armenia is Being Decided in Artsakh: A Flight from Reality, Tevanyan

Artsakh is under siege. There are lines for bread. Electricity is available for only a few hours a day. Azerbaijan threatens to carry out 'anti-terrorist' operations and cleanse Artsakh of Armenians. This was written on Facebook by Andranik Tevanyan, a member of the 'Armenia' parliamentary faction and coordinator of the 'Mother Armenia' movement.

He also mentioned, 'At the same time, there is a growing vacation mood in Armenia. This is a flight from reality. This is probably a normal human reaction; let psychologists talk about it. A large part of the Armenian political elite bears great sin for not understanding that 1. The fate of Armenia is being decided in Artsakh, 2. In the 90s, there was a national-liberation war, and the outcome of that war preserved Armenia's independence.'

The elite failed to comprehend this and therefore did not explain it to the public. Furthermore, there was a perspective that Artsakh was preventing Armenia from being and developing (Nikol Pashinyan is a product of that environment). If we still do not understand what Artsakh means for the security of Armenia and our people, we will pay a very heavy price.

The 'people's prime minister' wants Armenia's 'cadastre papers' from Aliyev. The latter considers Armenia to be 'Western Azerbaijan'. In order to preserve our country, we must keep Artsakh Armenian and not allow the Azerbaijaniization of Artsakh. Escaping from reality is not the best way to maintain our hold on it.
