Prime Minister's Spokesperson Addresses Reports on Armenia's Suspension of Communications with Artsakh Partners

In recent days, various news outlets have circulated reports that Armenian authorities at all levels have suspended their communications with partners in Artsakh. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Nazeli Baghdasaryan on her Facebook page.

“Moreover, it is indicated that the humanitarian crisis created by the blockage of the Lachin corridor is off the Armenian Government's agenda. In relation to this claim, which bears no resemblance to reality, we find it important to emphasize that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has repeatedly mentioned the intense, daily communications with Araik Harutyunyan. This point has also been reaffirmed by the President of Artsakh in public speeches and various formats.

We would like to remind once again that at the end of 2022, a working group was formed under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan to manage the humanitarian crisis caused by the blockade of the Lachin corridor and to support the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. The group's task is to carry out ongoing monitoring of humanitarian issues with the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh and provide necessary urgent assistance, including through international organizations.

The working group includes the Ministers of Health, Labor and Social Affairs, Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, and Economy, as well as representatives from other state agencies.
