1.5 Hectares from «Hrazdan Sports Complex» LLC to Be Donated to Yerevan Community

1.5 hectares, equivalent to 15,509 square meters, owned by «Hrazdan Sports Complex» LLC, will be donated to the Yerevan community for the construction of a new sports base named after Albert Azaryan. This was discussed at the operational meeting of the city hall today. The initiative is based on the government decision made on March 30, 2023.

The new building of the Albert Azaryan Youth Sports School will be constructed in the territory of the Yerevan Tsitsernakaberd sports complex, as stated by the Investment Program Implementation Office of Yerevan Construction during the operational meeting held on July 3.

After the decision comes into force, a three-month timeframe was established during which a real estate donation agreement will be signed between the State Property Management Committee and the Hrazdan Sports Complex. The boundaries of the land plot have been clarified, and the Hrazdan Sports Complex land has been divided into three property units. The 15,509 square meters have already been donated to the State Property Management Committee.

Following the government decision, a two-month period was subsequently defined, during which a donation agreement must be signed between the committee and the Yerevan community, after which the purchasing process will commence.

Vice Mayor Tigran Avinyan instructed the head of the Investment Program Implementation Office, Shoghik Yeranyan, to have the sports base project ready within this year and to commence construction work next year.

It is noteworthy that «Hrazdan Sports Complex» LLC belongs to former MP and businessman Ashot Aghababyan.
