Zelensky Imposes Sanctions on Founder of Armenian Airline 'Air Dilijans'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has imposed sanctions on 190 individuals and 290 legal entities. Among those listed is the Georgian airline Georgian Airways, which has resumed flights to Russia. The sanctions are set for a duration of 10 years.

Not only has the Georgian airline been targeted, but also its leadership, particularly Tamaz Gaiashvili, the director of Georgian Airways, Ltd Piloti (404541830), and the owner of the Armenian company 'Air Dilijans', as reported by media outlets.

It is worth noting that 'Aircompany Armenia' announced in March 2023 that it would be rebranding to 'Air Dilijans'. Founded in December 2015 and operating flights since the summer of 2016, the airline stated that the reason for the rebranding is the presence of several companies with similar names in Armenia at this time.

“The decision was made in the interest of our passengers to save their time and provide convenience while using the services of the airline,” the carrier announced.
