Vladimir Zelensky Imposes Sanctions on Georgian Airways

The President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, has imposed sanctions for a period of 10 years against the Georgian airline Georgian Airways, which has resumed direct flights to Russia, according to TASS.

The restrictions include the blocking of assets, cessation of commercial activities, termination of flights and transits through Ukrainian territory, suspension of economic and financial obligations, as well as the revocation of licenses and other permits.

Personal sanctions have also been placed on the airline's founder, Tamaz Gaiashvili.

Overall, Ukraine has expanded sanctions on July 1 against 192 individuals, primarily Russian citizens, and 291 companies and legal entities.

In response, Tamaz Gaiashvili stated that he is not concerned about the sanctions imposed by President Vladimir Zelensky against him and his business. “I am not at all interested in what anyone represents against me. Overall, I will leave this topic without comment,” said Gaiashvili.
