Photos: Roofs Damaged and Fences Uprooted by Hail and Strong Winds in Artsakh

Hail has fallen in the Askeran and Martuni regions of Artsakh. The precipitation was recorded yesterday, according to the Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Due to the intensification of winds, a fence was overturned in the capital, while residential roofs, electrical wires, and trees were damaged in the Aygestan and Berkadzor communities in the Askeran region.

Between 19:50 and 21:20 on June 30, the 911 crisis management center received six reports regarding the hail. The diameter of the hail that fell in the communities of Lusadzor, Dahrav, Astghashen, Patara, and Aygestan in the Askeran region ranged from approximately 0.5 to 1 cm.

Hail also affected the communities of Berdashen, Ashotan, Norashen, Myurishen, and Avdour in the Martuni region. The extent of the damage is currently being assessed.

According to a report registered at 18:10, the wind overturned a fence approximately 50 meters long and 2 meters high on T. Mets street in the capital. Strong winds also caused damage to the communities of Berkadzor and Aygestan.

According to registered reports, a total of 8 residential roofs have been damaged. In Berkadzor, electrical wires were torn down due to the strong winds, and trees were broken, blocking the road.

The rapid response team of the State Emergency Service has conducted emergency rescue operations to mitigate the consequences of the natural disaster.
