Car Accident on Kapan-Norashenik Road Leaves One Dead
On July 1, at 06:36, the Crisis Management Center of the Syunik Regional Rescue Department received a call reporting a car accident on the Kapan-Norashenik road, with injuries reported.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) reported that a firefighting and rescue squad from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that at the 14th kilometer of the Kapan-Norashenik road, a "Mitsubishi Grandis" car (driver: A. M., born in 1991) rolled off the roadway and landed in a roadside ditch. One passenger died, while passengers A. M. (born in 1990) and Kh. M. (born in 1988) received appropriate medical assistance on the spot and declined hospitalization.
The rescuers disconnected the vehicle’s power supply and closed the gas cylinder valve.
